Kos - Out Of Touch With His Moonbat Base

H/T KJL at The Corner. Sorry for the length of this post in advance...

It seems that Kos was approached by the media to discuss the recent speech by Hugo Chavez. I seriously doubt that such a call occurred... I mean, sure the Kossacks call Bush Hitler every other comment and perhaps try and link him to some Satanic cult every 5th post and all, but the MSM is smart enough to realize that these Moonbats wouldn't say that on TV, right?

I just got a call from an MSNBC booker. She wanted to know if I wanted to go on the air to talk about Hugo Chavez. Apparently, he went off on some rant at the UN.

I said, "Why would I? Who cares about Hugo Chavez?"

The booker said, "well, it's all over talk radio and the blogs." Talk radio, of course, being Rush Limbaugh and company. The blogs, of course, being the wingnutosphere, happily promoting the latest Horrible Dictator Who Says Mean Things About Bush (unlike the ones in the Middle East, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan who are our "allies").

I said, "Well, this is a stupid topic. It means nothing. I am focused on things that actually matter to us."

"Is there another liberal blogger who is writing about it?"

"No. We're all focused on important things." [such as defeating that neocon jewish Senator from Connecticut!]

She was incredulous -- "Really?"

"Really. Do you actually think this is important?" I asked, suddenly incredulous myself.

"I don't have time to talk about this," she sniffed.

I'm on the road, so perhaps I had missed some outpouring of pro-Chavez blogging on the left. But a look at my RSS reader doesn't show much of anything, and I've got about 80 blogs on it. The feeds don't always update regularly, so perhaps something was missed.

Now, I also think that Kos himself probably doesn't agree with Chavez that Bush is El Diablo. A maniacal evil bastard who stole two elections and is seeking to establish himself as Emperor of the world, sure... Kos agrees with that. But the "Devil thing" is over the top for Markos.

But one thing that this little diatribe points out is that Kos is apparently out of touch with many of his readers and the Moonbat Left in general. I mean, he doesn't have to go to his RSS feed thingy to see what other bloggers are saying. He could simply search within his self-created Moonbat-o-sphere at DailyKos and find that few of his reades/supporters found Chavez's remarks to be questionable. Criticisms were rare; support for the remarks were more common.

Even if you start to read the comments to this entry by Kos, you find that many responding to Kos' post are talking about the fact that it's not news because everyone knows that Bush is the devil.

As documented by us here, on the day of the Chavez speech, DUers were applauding his remarks and hitting an AOL poll to show their support for El Presidente Hugo. Here's the link:

1. LOL! No choice that allows you to disagree with Chavez.

You can be off-the-wall, and still be 100% correct.

22. That's exactly what he's doing to our own Asses of Evil

Satirizing and making a mockery of their deception, hypocricy and megalomania. Saying what we know a great deal of the world already thinks:

This podium of a world bully reeks.

I confess to laughing out loud when I first heard these reports
while listening from another room. The Bush Regime sold out their cred in the international world community a LONG time ago.

20. Realistically....

the comment is 'off the wall' - [Bush] is too dumb to be the devil. I think it's hilarious that 25% agree that he IS the devil.

I bet 50% would agree that he's a 'tool' of the devil.... }

27. The FReepers freak as President Chavez launches HUGO'S BOOK CLUB!

If Bush hates the guy, you know he must be doing something right.

And was it just me, or has Venezuela's outspoken prez launched his own book club, with apologies to Oprah? (Great flippin' Dobbs, I love Photoshop...)

23. Chavez Nailed It! He Called Out The Devil On It's Own Turf

I have Never Read Such an Accurate and Eloquent Speech. full of positive workable solutions for our planet

That's Why Smirk and Snarl Have to Take Him Out

He's a direct threat to them and their elite bosses

He shines the light of truth on their very dark pretense exposing their lies and violence and greed.

I am struck by two thoughts

(1) I fear for his safety the way I wish I had been old enough
to fear for the safety of the Kennedy brothers and MLK

(2) I, more than anything in the world, want to find a way
to move to Venezuela and be a part of what he is creating

31. Probably

folks are just getting in and having heard all about this from the MSM noise machine will want to read it for themselves.

I heard three different analysis on NPR today all with their not so unique spin on what was said and the reasons Chavez said what he said. Of course they're bullshit was all targeted on how over the top chavez was and what a grandstander Chavez was and how this was very undiplomatic and so on ad nauseam.

It was a great case study in how to manufacture opinion and showed once again how NPR is far more dangerous in it's manipulations than the obvious distortions of Faux and It's ilk.
Yes, that evil National Public Radio... and that wonderful utopia that Chavez is creating down in Venezuela!

These people are absolutely insane!!! and they're the driving force behind modern day Democratic Party politics....

So, sure... no blogger anywhere supports Hugo's comments. Markos - pull your head out of your keister.
