Zimbabwe

No news out of Zimbabwe yet... This report from This is Zimbabwe doesn't look good, given that it looks like Mugabe's party thugs are throwing their weight around. However, we'll see in the next few days what happens.

This article in Zimbabwe's independent The Daily News shows heavy turnout. We'll see who that favors...

This article looks like the MDC supporters think the fix is already in and are preparing their orange scarves.

Catholic Archbishop Pius Ncube of Bulawayo and Morgan Tsvangirai, the leader of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), alleged over the weekend that the elections had already been rigged and called on people not to accept another "stolen" Zanu PF victory.

Archbishop Ncube repeated the allegations that opposition supporters were being denied food aid and urged Zimbabweans to protest “Ukraine style” if Zanu PF wins fraudulently.

Tsvangirai, while addressing a rally on Sunday, called on MDC supporters countrywide to reject a Zanu PF victory.
Let's hope that whatever result is fair and peaceful.
